When you enquire through this website we collect your name, phone number, email address, business name and location. If you become a client we also hold your meter identifier (NMI), your electricity interval data, and the retail rates you were paying before.
To model what your energy would cost with us, to contact you about that, and — once you are a client — to trade energy on your behalf and report your savings. That is the whole list.
We do not sell your information and we do not pass it to marketing lists. We share what is necessary with the energy platforms and retailers required to service your account, and with the software we use to run the business (customer records and messaging). Where a retailer pays us a referral commission we tell you before you switch.
Your dashboard data sits in a database hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure. API credentials are held server-side and are never shown in a web page. Access to client data is limited to Sovryn Energy staff who require it, and each staff member only sees the clients assigned to them.
Meter and savings data is retained for as long as you are a client and for seven years afterwards, which is the period Australian record-keeping obligations require. Enquiries that do not become clients are removed within twelve months.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — call or text us, or email team@sovrynenergy.com, and we will action it. You can opt out of any message we send. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can raise it with us first, and then with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
This website sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising pixels. The client portal stores a sign-in token in your browser so you stay logged in; clearing your browser data removes it.
